Cultivating Personal and Environmental Wellbeing
HOOP offers adults a chance to explore personal healing alongside care for the planet. Through guided reflection, hands-on projects, and time in nature, participants discover how tending to themselves and their surroundings can be deeply connected. HOOP participants attend either an 8-week group or an immersive 4-day retreat to explore healthy ways of channeling difficult eco-emotions into meaningful action. Each cohort then funnels into a larger, engaged community of like-minded individuals committed to making a difference in our community and on our planet.
Who We Serve
This program is open to adults looking to process emotions related to environmental change and make a meaningful impact, in a supportive, nature-centered community.
“Spaces like ThorpeWood serve as vanguards, helping to reconnect us to the earth and to one another after decades of growing disconnection. And there is nothing we need more right now.”
— Healing Ourselves & Our Planet Alum & Stalwart Volunteer
