We hope you have an absolutely wonderful Thanksgiving! This time of year can get so busy and hectic for everyone, and we are no exception. Still, at the heart of all the hustle and bustle, is the need to be connected with those we love and care about. We hope you are spending this wonderful holiday with those who are important to you.
We are thankful every day for the community that we are honored to serve. We are thankful for the friends of ThorpeWood, who support our fundraising efforts and who are always willing to lend a hand of help whenever we put the call out in a time of need. We are thankful for those families who entrust their children to our nurturing environment, that they might benefit from time spent in nature. We are so very thankful for the relationships we have with our community non-profits, that allow us to be a resource for the members they serve. And, we are so very thankful for this bountiful piece of the earth that we have been given stewardship of.
We are thankful for all of these things, each and every day; but we wanted to make sure to take this moment to share our thanks with you, on this wonderful Thanksgiving Day.
A reminder – our Open House is on Saturday, December 7th from 3 pm until 8 pm. Music, cookies, Santa and more! We will also have a Goodwill bin available for clothing that you would like to donate. Please make plans to attend and bring a couple dozen of your favorite treats to share, and the recipe!
Also, if you are interested in helping us to decorate for the Open House, and for the season, please plan to come by the week of December 2nd. Give us a call at 301-271-2823 or email Julie at [email protected] for more information or to check when the decorating is under way!
