July ’23 Week 1: Forest Therapy Walks and Road Clean Up

On Saturday, July 1st, we held our community Forest Therapy Walk in the bright early summer morning. We had a wonderful little group of ladies who came ready to engage with the forest and their senses. Their gentle presence at the farm was nourishing. We hope to do another community forest therapy walks again soon!

On Monday, July 3rd, we invited back our student volunteers from FCPS. We are so lucky to have one passionate youth that comes every week to tend our garden and care for our animals!

On Saturday, July 8th, Moms Supporting Moms Adams County brought out a fun crew of moms to go on a forest therapy walk with us. These ladies were so appreciative of the quiet quality time we spend in each other’s company. Afterward, we had a few volunteers join us for our Catoctin Hollow Road clean up. We were delighted to find that it was the least trash we have ever seen on our little mountain road. Of course, we ended the 3+ mile adventure with a swim in our pond and a few sweet treats!
