We are about a month away from our Annual 10K Trail Run and 5K Fun Run/Walk. September 4th will mark our 9th year of hosting this fundraiser for the Head Start Programs through the YMCA in Frederick County. 
Proceeds for this event offset the costs for the Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) Program we offer to Head Start Frederick County. We’ve been partnering with Frederick County YMCA providing programs for kids for many years. This past year was our 3rd school year to provide the EAL program for their Head Start participants.
We have witnessed how EAL enriches the lives of those who participate and want to continue to provide what we think is a valuable and unique opportunity for these kids. Some have never been this close to a horse. After a few days the horses have captured their hearts and the experience has created change in these young hearts, sometimes profound changes.

Online registration is now available here. Our record turnout was 182. We’d love to exceed that number this year. Registration prior to the event is $20 for the 5K and $25 for the 10K. Day of event registration is $25 for the 5K and $30 for the 10K
