Want to be more connected to nature? Join us to learn how to keep a phenological calendar! This unique kind of calendar tracks recurring events in nature such as the blooming of flowers, bird migrations, or insect emergence. It is a way to stay connected to nature by observing, reflecting, and recording how the natural world changes around you year round.
At this workshop you will:
- learn about the importance of phenological calendars,
- hike and observe nature as a group,
- create your own calendar
We will provide materials but you are welcome to bring along your own art supplies. This workshop will be at the Homestead Barn at ThorpeWood, located at 13002 Mink Farm Rd. There is no cost for this event, but space is limited and registration is required.
