End of Year Giving

Fgallery6-1Well, it’s that time of year again.  The time when we all think about our end of year annual charitable giving   You all remember that we had a Goodwill donation box at our Open House, right?  Well, the box is actually still at the Lodge if you have any items you would like to donate.  Donating your gently used items to Goodwill helps so many people, and the donated items are tax deductible for you.  It is a win-win!

All non-profits need the help and support of their friends, and making a donation before the end of the year is something that many people plan to do.  ThorpeWood is funded through The Merle Thorpe, Jr. Charitable Trust (MTCT), and a donation to MTCT helps ThorpeWood to provide services for our community.   MTCT’s mission is to serve our local and regional non-profit community by offering our property for exploring, recreation and camping and our facilities for meetings and retreats and equine assisted learning opportunities.

MTCT is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization and all contributions are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.  Please consider supporting ThorpeWood through your contribution to MTCT with a gift of $25, $50, $100, $500, $1,000, or any amount.  In addition, ask if your company matches employee giving to non-profits.

Please consider a donation to MTCT to help us continue providing free services to our local non-profits. You can find the donation form by clicking here. Below is a summary of some of the services we provide…

Your donation helps ThorpeWood….

  • Continue to be a natural resource for other non-profits that serve our community;
  • Serve our Frederick community and surrounding region through our Equine Assisted Learning programs and access to our natural resources;
  • Provide event space for non-profits who need to utilize our wonderful Lodge and surrounding property;
  • Continue to be an epicenter of community life – where Ice Cream Socials, Star Gazing Sessions, Concerts, Trail Runs, Holiday Open Houses, and Barn Dances are held, and finally;
  • Keep the fires burning – literally.

We truly depend on the support of those who believe in our mission.

Thank you, as always, for your wonderful support and consideration!
