Christmas Concert and Holiday Open House

Holidays at the ThorpeWood Lodge

As you can imagine, this has been a very challenging year for our venue and program partnerships! Everyone has been affected in some way!

This being our 20th Anniversary year, we, of course, wanted to have some fun events celebrating this milestone, but given COVID, we have had to adapt that “fun” to a different and safer schedule of events. The good news is our Lodge will be open safely and the bad news is that you can not bring cookies, cookies so loved by all.

FIRST, we have a wonderful Christmas concert coming up on Saturday, December 5 with our talented friend, singer songwriter, Ruut DeMeo! We are selling only 25 tickets to this intimate concert and as of today, we have sold only 8. We hope that you will consider purchasing a ticket for $35 to enjoy 3 hours of original music as well as some old favorites!
Our 1898 Steinway will be located in front of our fireplace and next to our beautifully decorated majestic Concolor Fir that measures 17′ high! Our guests will be comfortable and able to social distance (easily). As a venue we are allowed to have guests up to 75 at this time, but Julie has chosen to keep our numbers lower for all to be comfortable and safe!!
This is a BYOB event and be sure to bring some snacks.
Time: 7:00p – 10:00p
If interested in purchasing tickets, please go to the ThorpeWood website to our “Donate” page (link below). This is where you will be able to purchase tickets. Just insert the total amount and we will receive a notification, or you can email Julie at [email protected] and arrange an alternate way of payment.
Also, check out Ruut website for more information on the purchase of her CD and to listen to a sample of her album.
We are hopeful to share this magical night with some of our ThorpeWood and Ruut friends!! 🙂
Please share on your FB page…thank you!!

SECONDLY, we WILL be having our Holiday Open House, but it will look a bit different this year! We have selected days and times for our community to visit safely. We have been following Governor Hogans guidelines and we will be keeping the numbers at 25 guests during a 90-minute timeframe. We will be asking anyone who wants to come to the Holiday Open House, to email us and sign up – [email protected] Masks will be required during your visit inside the Lodge – make them fun, but protective!

  • Saturday, December 12
    • Noon-1:30p
    • 2:00p-3:30p
    • 5:00p – 6:30p

    • 2:00p-3:30p

Our masked Santa will be visiting on both days to say hello to the kids!! Each child will receive a craft to-go! We will also have a treat for everyone to take home with them at the end of their visit. Hot cider will be served, instead of self-serve this year. Our tree is being decorated the week of November 30 and will be as beautiful as ever!!

A photographer will be available for family photos to be sent digitally for a small fee.

Here’s to a safe, warm and wonderful holiday season with friends and family!
