How was your weekend? Mountain Memories at ThorpeWood had a busy, busy, busy weekend. There is a reason that word was used three times…this weekend
ThorpeWood was the location for three (yes, three) weddings. One on Friday, one on Saturday and one on Sunday. By the look of these couples, their days were a huge success!!
First up, were Heather and Mike, married at the Pine Cathedral:
They were followed on Saturday by Jen and Ryan also married at the Pine Cathedral, with dinner at the Lodge:
And on Sunday, we celebrated with Rebecca and Jordan, married in the Arboretum under the Chuppah at the Dawn Redwoods. They were also treated to a ride in our wagon pulled by our antique tractor.
What a fantastically busy weekend! We are so honored to have shared in all of these couples special day, and are humbled by the fact that they chose Mountain Memories at ThorpeWood for one of the most important days of their lives. ThorpeWood is a special place — we feel it, and all who come to spend time here feel it too.
That is one of the reasons our upcoming Ruut concert – on Sunday, November 10th from 2 to 5 p.m. – will be such a special event. To see a concert at ThorpeWood is a very unique experience. Our Lodge is such a cozy venue – a concert here is truly an intimate experience. Add to that, enjoying this concert by a roaring fire, while
enjoying light snacks and hot cocoa – or sipping on a glass of something you brought in yourself – well, there is really is no comparison to be made for spending a musical evening like this.
Tickets are $25 per person. The opening act will be Luke Brindley, you can learn more about him by clicking here. Ruut will be performing songs off of her new album, Glimpse. You can purchase tickets by calling Julie at 301-271-2823 or contact her via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
ThorpeWood – it really is a perfect destination for life’s celebrations! Congratulations to all of our wedding couples, and we hope to see all of you at the Lodge on the 10th for a special afternoon with Ruut!
